I Have Arrived!

Goodness it's been a looooong day. It finally hit me that I'm going to be away in France for four months. Just as I sat down in my seat and looked out at the DFW airfield. I sat next to this wonderful lady who's a nurse that teaches at a hospital and does non-profit work to help girls who come out of prostitution. She was such an encouragement and blessing to sit by. Her love for Christ and his Word were so evident in her, it was just fantastic. I want to be her when I grow up. Minus the nursing.
Anyway so Abbey and I arrived at paris about thirty minutes early, but that didn't help much. It took us about an hour to figure out where we were going. Then that train took about an hour, then we had to switch over to the metro which took about thirty minutes, so I arrived later than what I told my host family. But we finally reached Orléns! I was picked up and taken to their lovely home that has really cool windows. If you've been in Europe they're just standard European windows, but they're so cool. Cause they open up all the way and you can lean out and sing like a Disney princess. Theoretically. That may be frowned upon.
I've been suprised at my French so far. There's definitely a lot I don't know. But on the other hand I remembered a lot. Like the future tense. Let me tell you. That is suuuuuper helpful. Anyway, it's been a crazy time. M. Bernard (my host) took me around and showed me the house and the alarm system. He gave me the wifi password (HALLELUJAH) and showed me to my room. It's a cute little space. Probably about the same size as my room back home, maybe a smidge bigger. I have a tiny closet though. I'm so tired and jet lagged, and today was just so much that when I sat down, in my room, alone, I just let it out. This culture shock and language barrier thing is going to be a tough thing, but I can do it. Tomorrow is my language test, so we'll see how that goes. Anyway, I need to finish unpacking. I'll update soonish maybe if I wanna. Also my hair looks disgusting. I need to wash it. Bad.
